  • Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade) with Mathematics as one of the subjects with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.OR
  • 10+3 Diploma in any stream and recognized by Central/State Government with Mathematics as one of the subjects and 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.OR
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of Schooling with not less than 50% marks(45% for SC/ST) in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.OR
  • Any other examination recognized equivalent there to.

On the basis of combined merit of NATA score and qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. Counseling will be held at GNDU Campus by the Head, Department of Architrecture. Counseling schedule will be uploaded on gndu website in due course of time.

All admissions to B.Arch. degree course shall be subject to passing of National Aptitude Test (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA).

  • Any other examination recognized equivalent there to.

Admission shall be based on the merit of the valid GATE score. In case of non-availability of GATE qualified candidates, the admission shall be based on the merit in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the department.

GATE qualified candidates must indicate their valid GATE score and rank in admission form under the column "Any other qualification".

Activities

The phenomenon of globalization is threatening our culture as also our regional identities. It becomes pertinent to explore and understand our past wisdoms related to the built environment so that the values may prevail and may guide our future design and construction practices. In this context, the department is indulged in the following key areas of research:

  • Regional Architecture including the documentation of historic structures, identifying key architectural elements and developing comprehensive strategies for their preservation and restoration.
  • Sustainable built environment practices including pedestrian and bicycle friendly urban spaces, etc.
  • Theories of Modernism and their relevance and applicability in present scenarion
