Eligibility for M.Ed.

(A) Candidate seeking admission to the M.Ed. programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the following programmes:

  • B.Ed.
  • B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed.
  • B.El.Ed.
  • D.El.Ed. with an under graduate degree (with 50% marks in each).

(B) Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other applicable categories shall be as per the rules of central government/ state government/ GNDU rules which ever is applicable. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favor of SC/ST/OBC categories of candidates.

Admission will be based on merit of the candidate in qualifying examination.

4. Inclusive education Significant contributions of the department: The department of education is a new department with three years of standing. Since then department has initiated researches and pilot studies in the field of integration of ICT in teaching-learning processes, development of skills for the usage of Web 2.0 technologies and its relationship with effective teaching, Early Childhood Education and Care: status and effectiveness. Effectiveness of behavioural therapies and modification techniques for enhancement of quality of teaching learning process. Some areas of significant research of the present faculty are Yoga interventions and their effectiveness, creative management, teacher competencies, teacher effectiveness, teacher stress, emotional stress and emotional intelligence, etc.
