  • a) Candidate with atleast 50% marks in Senior Secondary/10+2 examination from a recognized education board in Medical/Non-Medical stream.

  • c) The relaxation in percentage of marks and reservation for SC/OBC/PwD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government, which is applicable.

  • The department is actively engaged in the development of curriculum for different programs of Teacher Education, providing professional development programs for teacher educators and school teachers especially in the field of integrating ICT in teaching learning and evaluation. The department also has School of Education under PMMMNMTT scheme of MHRD, New Delhi which organized more than 50 workshops (12 through face to face and 38 through online mode). The total number of beneficiaries under this project is approximately 10,000. The department has completed one major project on life skills of border area students funded by ICSSR and supervised one post doctoral student on ECCE sponsored by ICSSR. The department is also running one project sponsored by Punjab government on access and quality of pre school education. The department has published eighteen resource books and have published three edited books. The faculty members have successfully supervised 20 doctoral degrees and at present supervising 18 regular PhD research scholars, also have supervised approximately 200 dissertations of post graduate students. The faculty of the department is actively engaged in the professional development and have published more than 289 research papers in national and international reputed journals. Further faculty has also participated in more than 500 National and International seminars, workshops, conferences. Ten E-content modules have also been developed by the faculty which are uploaded on various portals of Govt of India.
